Screwdriver Bits

Screwdriver bits are used with cordless screwdrivers and variable speed power drills to drive screws
through all types of materials. MIBRO’s screwdriver bits are made from S2 chrome molybdenum steel,
a steel alloy that provides optimum hardness and performance.

What you should know

Hardness is measured on Rockwell C scale and there are two screwdriver bit types for different
applications:

Medium hard screwdriver bits (52-56 HRc)- should be used only with a handheld screwdriver.

Extra hard screwdriver bits (59-63 HRc)- used with a drill. They are the best choice for general-purpose
applications such us wood, plastic, drywall and metal. All of MIBRO’s screwdriver bits fall into this
category of hardness.

Different head configurations are available to fit all popular screw types:

  • Philips
  • Slotted
  • Hex
  • Star
  • Security Star
  • Pozidriv
  • Square Recess
  • Clutch
  • Threaded
  • Double-ended
  • Magnetic Nut Setter
  • Magnetic Bit Holder

  • Types of products:

Insert Bits- are compact bits that are economical, change over quickly and use less storage space. They are
1” overall length and require a magnetic bit holder.

Power Bits- fit directly into the power tool for improved concentricity and easier clearance. They are typically
available in 2” through 6” in length.

Magnetic Bit Holder-is tightened in a drill chuck and used to hold 1” insert bits. The holder allows the user to
quickly change bits and also temporarily magnetizes the insert bit enough to allow the bit to hold on to ferrous
    metal screws.

Magnetic Nut Setter- tightened directly into a drill chuck, it is used to drive nuts or hex head screws.

2” Socket Adapter– an accessory which fits into a drill chuck to allow use of any regular 1/4”, 3/8” or 1/2” drive
    socket with your power tool.
