Types:
Aluminum Cable Stop
used to cap cable ends and prevent individual wires from pricking fingers
prevents cable from being pulled through a clip or wire rope clamp
Aluminum Sleeve
used to form loops in a wire. The wire feeds back into the sleeve and is crimped or swaged into place
most often used in conjunction with a thimble
Swaging Tool
swages or crushes the soft aluminum sleeve or stop onto the wire where it remains secured
Always remove coatings from the wire to insure good metal to metal surface contact
Clips and Thimbles
used to form loops in aircraft cable

mechanical way to form a loop in aircraft cable
